Itinerary

Day 1
Muscat - Sur You will start your day with a a journey along the coast to Sur. You will reach Wadi Shab, an oasis spot in the middle of the barren and dry mountains. It is one of the most beautiful wadis, and its pools with clear deep blue water give you an opportunity to take a refreshing dip. On the coastal road you will stop at the limestone Sinkhole in Bimmah and then continue to Fins Beach. Shortly after Qalhat, you will reach the coastal town of Sur, which was formerly renowned for its dhow shipyards. Check-in to the hotel. After an early dinner, you will visit the turtle sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz, where at night the Green Turtles, after a journey of thousands of kilometers will come ashore to lay their eggs. You will then return to hotel for the overnight.

Day 2
Sur - Wahiba Sands - Muscat After breakfast at the hotel, you will have a short tour of Sur. Once, this coastal town was famous for dhow building Dhow, are the famous Arabian sea-going ships. You will visit the dhow building shipyard before driving to Wahiba Sands. The latter is a vast mass of undulating sea of red and white sand dunes. It is also host to a variety of flora and fauna. Here, more so, Dune bashing as we go deeper and deeper into the sands of Wahiba. The whole area is breath taking, and has scattered habitations of the Bedouins and their camels moving about. Return back to Muscat by afternoon.
